About The Position

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Agent in BURLINGTON, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through strong communication, routine patrols, and teamwork while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach with integrity and a people-first mindset.

Requirements

• 2+ years of security-related experience is required.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, common areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and/or other unwanted behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
• Support closing and opening activities, assist with crowd and line monitoring during busy periods, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns for Allied Universal and site leadership.
