Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Field Patrol in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and respond to routine needs with professional customer service. You will complete detailed reports, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and support site operations through teamwork and integrity. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entrances, checkpoints, and restricted areas; verify identification and/or authorization as required; and direct visitors to appropriate destinations per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate public agency personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership when needed.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in daily logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant updates to oncoming personnel and/or site representatives.
