Job Description As a Security Officer - Unarmed Field Patrol in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a renowned cultural institution, you will monitor galleries and public spaces, conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist guests with directions and questions. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and respond to situations with professionalism. Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities in a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with medical situations, crowd concerns and/or property-related issues, and escalating as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, back-of-house spaces and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, monitoring visitor flow and/or supporting special events and exhibit activities in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management, and support coordination with local responders when needed.
