As a Security Officer Unarmed Campus Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Education. This is a part-time role where flexibility meets opportunity, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while contributing to a caring, team-oriented culture built on reliability, innovation, agility, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with campus staff, visitors, and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter trespassing, policy violations, and/or disruptions to daily operations.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or maintenance or hazard concerns, and relay relevant information to supervisors and designated personnel.
