Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, support access awareness, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to identify unauthorized entry, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in required reports, and relay important information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
