About The Position

As a Security Officer TWIC Unarmed Patrol in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong customer service and communication. This unarmed patrol role offers the chance to work in a dynamic port environment where agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity come first.

Requirements

• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and/or First Aid experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with supervisors and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property, including entrances, gate areas, loading and unloading zones, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor site activity involving vehicle and pedestrian traffic, verify authorized access as directed by post orders, and report suspicious behavior, damaged equipment, and/or operational issues.
• Support daily operations by following established post instructions, maintaining a visible presence, and communicating clearly with Allied Universal leadership, site contacts, and/or emergency responders when needed.
