Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, and the perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, unauthorized activity, and/or maintenance issues.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help support authorized access in accordance with location policies and procedures.
Assist with reporting, shift activity logs, and communication of security-related information to supervisors, teammates, and/or client representatives.
