As a Security Officer TWIC Verification in Texas City, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, badge verification practices, and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, screen authorized personnel and/or deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and support emergency response activities in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, vehicle information, and incident documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, operational areas, and the perimeter, with attention to changing conditions, potential hazards, and security-related concerns.
