As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic cultural location, you will monitor entry points, verify badges and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to site needs with agility, reliability, and integrity while working as part of a caring, team-focused Allied Universal culture.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by following site-specific access control procedures and supporting a professional entry experience at the location.
• Monitor entrances, credential checks, visitor logs, and/or delivery access to help manage authorized entry and report security-related concerns or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around galleries, public areas, staff spaces, and the perimeter, with attention to access points and other security-related conditions.
• Support special events, exhibit traffic, and/or high-visitor periods by helping direct foot traffic, maintaining post presence, and documenting security-related incidents and activities.
