About The Position

As a Security Officer Truck Gate in Pomona, California, you will help safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, support access control, respond to alarm-related activity, and provide customer service and communication. The position is part-time and scheduled Friday and Saturday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, parking areas, trailer yards, access points, and the business perimeter.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, following visitor and driver check-in procedures, and maintaining accurate logs and records.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency services as directed.
Observe shipping and receiving activity and report damaged fencing, unsecured doors, lighting concerns, and other security-related issues.
Support a professional environment for personnel and visitors.
