About The Position

Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials, and support daily operations through visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication. In this people-first role, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering professional customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a reliable, agile approach.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to all visitors, drivers, vendors, and employees by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, issuing passes, and documenting arrivals and departures at the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points for the facility, help to deter unauthorized access, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities and coordinating with appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, gate areas, loading and shipping zones, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location.
• Maintain accurate logs, visitor records, truck and trailer check-in information, and other required reports related to access control and daily security-related operations.
