Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in accordance with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, stations, parking areas, office spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public areas, assist with directing foot traffic, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders regarding security-related concerns.
  • Support a professional presence at a government-related transit location by following assigned post responsibilities, providing information to the public, and reporting maintenance or operational issues that may affect daily operations.
