About The Position

PS-OICs are the front line supervisors amongst our physical security officer teams, leading the way in caring for and supporting our employees. In this role Physical Security Officers in Charge (PS-OICs) can expect to be leading teams in demanding and fast paced environments. PS-OICs ensure their teams adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), polices, and practices assigned to their facilities. PS-OICS play a crucial role in the maintenance and enhancements of SOPs and Site Security operations. Additionally PS-OICs may be required to work with a firearm. The PS-OICs mission is ensure the protection of all people, information and property assigned, while delivering on high end customer service.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or credit equivalent
  • Two years of face to face customer service experience
  • Two years of supervisor / management experience
  • Possess at least one of the following experience / education criteria: 1.) Five years of armed security experience 2.) Four years of military experience 3.) Successful completion of a state or federal certified law enforcement training academy
  • Moderate computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office, Scheduling Systems, ADP, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient time management skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Reliable transportation
  • Excellent de-escalation skills
  • Proficient firearms skills
  • Extensive use of force knowledge
  • Proactive problem solving skills
  • Must be able to obtain state required armed security officer license
  • Ability to obtain OCAT, PATH, and PPBT certifications
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening and OPS training requirements

Responsibilities

  • Delivering high end customer service
  • Ensuring teams adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, policies and practices assigned
  • Updating Client Relations Manager on changes needed in best practices and SOPs
  • Performing PSO duties
  • Managing teams of PSOs
  • Managing schedules
  • Approving payroll
  • Completing and reviewing daily logs and incident reports
  • Conducting on the job training
  • Building and maintain a professional rapport with clients, guests and coworkers
  • Performing other related duties as assigned
