As a Security Officer Stationary Post in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support visitors and staff with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and other security-related duties within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, public agencies, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and other security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas while checking credentials, observing visitor activity, and documenting daily events, incidents, and/or maintenance issues according to site policies.
