About The Position

As a Security Officer Service Oriented Patrol in Seattle, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transit location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist riders, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts, visitors, and/or local public agencies as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, observe public activity, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues according to site protocols.
  • Support order at the location by documenting incidents, providing directions and assistance to the public, and following post instructions during routine operations and/or service disruptions.
