About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government court location, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and court personnel. Your visible presence will help deter security-related incidents while supporting orderly daily operations. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, court personnel, and the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government court location.
  • Screen visitors and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established entry procedures; communicate prohibited-item procedures in a professional manner.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly movement through public screening areas.
  • Respond to incidents, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly notify appropriate court personnel and/or emergency responders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned public areas and the perimeter, as directed; document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual activity.
