As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by conducting screening activities, monitoring assigned areas, and supporting access procedures. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and remain visible to help deter incidents. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen people, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the freight location in accordance with established procedures and access requirements.
  • Verify identification, shipping documentation, and authorization credentials; document discrepancies and report concerns to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated screening areas, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
