About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people, packages, and/or materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support smooth operations through teamwork and integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen packages, shipments, and/or individuals in accordance with established site procedures and applicable screening requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or delivery documentation as directed, and report irregularities to site leadership or appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution facility, loading areas, parking locations, and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns.
