As a Security Officer Screening Technician in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items in accordance with post orders and applicable entry protocols, and report concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related events and/or unusual activity.
  • Monitor entry points, verify credentials or authorization as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening practices.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter when assigned, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
