As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Grand Rapids, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor access points, screen personnel and deliveries, and help maintain a secure environment. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, report security-related concerns, and support smooth operations through attentive service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen personnel, visitors, and authorized property entering and exiting the facility in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, shipping and receiving areas, and screening equipment; report irregularities, prohibited items, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
