Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or personal property at entry points using assigned screening equipment and established post orders while helping to identify prohibited items.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor entrances, assist with directing foot traffic, maintain required logs and/or documentation, and support security-related procedures for public areas and controlled access points.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
