As a Security Officer Screening Specialist in Rock Hill, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Screener at a shelter location, you will help support a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, observing activity, and assisting with screening processes. This role combines strong customer service and communication with a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
  • Screen residents, visitors, staff, and deliveries at designated entry points by checking identification, confirming authorization, and documenting arrivals and departures according to post instructions.
  • Monitor lobby and entry activity for unusual behavior, policy concerns, and/or security-related issues, and report observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols for a shelter environment.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and communication records, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening practices and professional presence.
