As a Security Officer Screening Role in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, perform screening activities, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and strong communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, offering the chance to stay active, work as part of a dependable team, and bring Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or shipments entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter, with attention to unusual activity and other security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, screening records, and incident documentation, and communicate clearly with site personnel, drivers, and visitors regarding access procedures and security-related expectations.
