Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials, screen visitors, vendors, and/or contractors, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with location protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, with awareness that working environments and conditions may vary across the site.
  • Support security-related operations within a chemical and petrochemical location by observing for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access, and reporting concerns promptly.
