Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and other security-related policies for a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and permitted items at designated entry points while following post orders and documenting required information.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors and/or appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, waiting areas, and adjacent public areas to help to deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter when appropriate, noting conditions and reporting concerns according to site procedures.
