About The Position

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Examiner in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with the public and staff. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public while carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Screen individuals and personal property using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify access credentials, direct visitors to designated locations, and maintain orderly entry processes in a government facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
