As a Security Officer Screening Coordinator in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a professional, secure environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, personnel, and members of the public by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
  • Screen individuals and their belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, identifying prohibited or unauthorized items for appropriate follow-up.
  • Verify access credentials, direct visitors to designated areas, and maintain orderly entry and screening processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, surrounding areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
