About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Coordinator in Edgerton, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help manage access by screening visitors, employees, and deliveries, monitoring entry activity, and reporting security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Screen individuals, personal property, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and access permissions before entry.
  • Operate screening equipment and follow established protocols for prohibited items, alarms, and access-control concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
