About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Coordinator in La Grange Highlands, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor assigned areas, screen people and/or materials, and support routine patrol activity while remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal belongings, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unusual activity, prohibited items, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken in required logs and/or reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as assigned, while observing for conditions that could impact operations or require a security-related response.
