Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents, suspicious activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, including interior operational areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to identify unusual conditions and/or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity at assigned posts, verify credentials or access permissions when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support loss prevention and operational goals by observing high-traffic areas, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and helping to deter theft, trespassing, and/or disruption at the location.
