Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support access procedures. This role combines visible presence, routine patrols, and strong communication to help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site protocols, and report unusual findings or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, noting suspicious activity, unsecured areas, and/or policy violations that may need attention.
  • Document screening results, incidents, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, client representatives, and/or first responders as needed.
