As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Attendant in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and reporting unusual activity. You will provide outstanding customer service while helping to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced setting. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or delivery partners by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related screening requirements at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or items entering designated areas in accordance with established procedures, escalating prohibited or suspicious items as directed.
  • Operate screening equipment and conduct inspections in accordance with training, site policies, and applicable procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate site contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and the surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
