As a Security Officer Security Screening in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will use X-ray screening and access-control procedures to help identify prohibited items and support a secure environment. You will interact professionally with visitors and staff, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, reliability, agility, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Screen visitors, packages, and personal property in accordance with established government facility procedures and applicable post orders.
  • Verify identification, manage visitor entry records, and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations or offices.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed.
  • Maintain awareness of activity at screening points and report unusual, suspicious, or unauthorized activity according to site procedures.
