About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer - Screening Associate for a logistics and distribution location in Chandler, Arizona. The Screener helps support a secure environment by screening people and/or items, monitoring access points, reporting security concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication while helping deter incidents. The role includes carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities; screening people and deliveries entering or exiting the facility; verifying identification, authorization, documentation, and screening requirements; responding to incidents and alarms; and conducting patrols of screening areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Saturday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and/or local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering and exiting the facility according to site procedures.
Verify identification, access authorization, shipping documentation, and/or screening requirements before permitting entry to designated areas.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report irregularities.
