Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, visitors, packages, and/or personal items entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post orders and site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipping-related documentation as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, remaining alert to unusual activity, policy violations, and other security-related concerns.
