About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer Roving Driver for a retail and mall location in Plattsburgh, New York. The officer helps safeguard clients and visitors through routine foot and vehicle patrols, a visible security presence, customer service, monitoring of property activity, and responses to incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. The stated pay rate is $19.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday through Thursday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
CPR and First Aid certification.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, assisting with emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, and document observations and actions in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the property perimeter.
Monitor access points and property activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts or supervisors.
Provide directions and assistance and maintain a professional presence for guests and occupants.
