As a Security Officer - Residential Access in Marana, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. This role may include routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help discourage security-related concerns, and using teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach to deliver reliable, responsive service in a welcoming community environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document guest, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with property guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential location and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by maintaining a visible presence, communicating clearly with residents and visitors, and following post orders for restricted areas and community amenities.
