About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Reception for a manufacturing and industrial location in Somersworth, New Hampshire. The officer will provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. The position includes welcoming visitors, managing access procedures, monitoring activity, and communicating professionally with employees and guests. A visible presence and attention to security concerns help deter incidents while supporting a positive visitor experience. The scheduled hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour. Employees may use the Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or at least 21 years old for armed roles.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local security licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

A state-, county-, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities when appropriate.
Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and direct guests according to site procedures.
Monitor entry activity, receive and route calls, maintain visitor and access logs, and communicate relevant information to site personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
Monitor lobby and entrance activity to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual conditions or behaviors.
