About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Security Coordinator in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures and front desk protocols at a commercial office location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception activity, verify identification and/or visitor records, and help to deter unauthorized access through established access control practices.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer questions, give directions, and support sign-in, badge, and delivery processes while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns at the front desk.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and incident documentation, and report maintenance issues, policy concerns, and/or suspicious activity to the appropriate contacts.
