About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Desk in Holyoke, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, screening and/or directing visitors, and supporting access control activities for a government location.
  • Monitor entry activity, confirm identification and/or visitor credentials as required, and document arrivals, departures, and other security-related front desk events.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
  • Answer questions, provide directions, and assist employees, visitors, and members of the public with professionalism while helping to support order at the location.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and other documentation related to front desk operations, incidents, and security-related procedures.
