Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, front desk protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access to the location by greeting visitors, verifying identity and/or authorization, issuing passes when required, and documenting arrivals and departures.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to property management and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Answer phones, support front desk communications, and complete detailed logs, reports, and other records related to security-related activities and unusual events.
  • Observe lobby and entry activity, monitor cameras and/or alarm panels when available, and report suspicious, unauthorized, or concerning behavior according to site procedures.
