About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Desk in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, supporting access control, visitor management, and professional communication. In this stationary role, you will help monitor the lobby area, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver reliable service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or credentials, managing access to the front desk area, and following site-specific procedures for a government location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, answer questions, direct employees and visitors to the appropriate destination, and document arrivals, departures, and/or unusual activity in required logs.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Support security-related procedures by screening visitors, issuing temporary badges or access materials, receiving deliveries, and helping to track property brought into and out of the location.
  • Complete routine reports and front desk records, observe lobby and entry activity, and report maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
