About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Desk Monitor in Secaucus, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Monitor front desk activity, verify identification and credentials, manage visitor check-in and sign-in processes, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location.
  • Answer phones, greet incoming guests, direct arrivals to the appropriate contact, and communicate clearly with staff regarding deliveries, service providers, and visitor requests.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions in required reports.
  • Support access control operations by monitoring entry points, issuing badges or visitor passes when applicable, and following established protocols for restricted areas and sensitive spaces.
