Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific procedures, screening and directing visitors, and supporting security-related activities for a government location.
  • Monitor access to the location by checking identification, maintaining visitor logs, issuing badges when appropriate, and helping to control entry and exit activity.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Answer phones, provide directions, document daily activity, and report unusual behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues according to post instructions.
