About The Position

As a Security Officer Reception Console in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or visitor management protocols appropriate for a financial services location.
  • Monitor access to the lobby and reception area, verify visitor credentials, issue temporary access materials, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with employees, guests, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Maintain front desk logs, visitor records, and other required documentation to support security-related operations and compliance expectations.
  • Answer phones, assist with directions, and support a professional front desk presence that helps to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptions.
