As an Allied Universal unarmed patrol officer at a busy transportation location, you will conduct routine foot patrols across parking facilities and surrounding areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, assist visitors with directions and customer service needs, and support site operations through teamwork. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and local public services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout parking garages, lots, stairwells, elevators, entrances, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Monitor vehicle and pedestrian activity for unusual or suspicious behavior, help to deter unauthorized access, and address parking and access concerns in accordance with post orders.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrol activities, and maintenance or hazard observations, and communicate updates promptly to Allied Universal leadership and the client.
