You will conduct routine patrols across docks, yards, and interior areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and report conditions using clear communication and strong customer service. You will support smooth operations with integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable approach that puts people first while embracing innovative tools and procedures.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location, including interior areas, yard and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Control access to the facility by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or shipping documentation, and directing drivers, visitors and employees to appropriate check-in areas.
Monitor truck and trailer activity, including gate movements and yard traffic, and report irregular activity according to post orders.
Perform routine patrol observations of loading docks, staging areas and common areas to help to deter theft, damage and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor alarms, cameras and other security-related systems when assigned, and promptly report observed concerns.
Document and report all incidents, hazards and/or policy violations using written reports and required logs.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, drivers and visitors, providing directions and assistance as needed.
Support emergency response activities by following site procedures, contacting appropriate personnel and completing required documentation.
