As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support gate and yard activity, observe for irregular conditions, document findings, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, trailer yard, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Control access at entrances, gates, and loading areas by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and contractor check-in, and directing drivers to designated areas per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including observing and reporting suspicious activity, supporting emergency responders, and completing required notifications.
  • Document daily activity, patrol findings, and incidents in written and/or electronic reports, and communicate relevant updates to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
