About The Position

As a Security Officer Rail Station in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of assigned transit facilities, platforms, entrances, corridors, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious activity, unattended property, or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation accurately and promptly while maintaining a professional presence in a high-traffic public environment.
