About The Position

As a Security Officer Rail Station in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate transit personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding areas, and other assigned locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Monitor access points and observe passenger flow and facility activity, helping to maintain an orderly environment in accordance with posted rules and site requirements.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and authorized personnel.
